Recently purchased for $2.775 million dollars, was Zac
Efron’s former Hollywood Hills home. The gated midcentury modern one-story home
includes 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The 2,424 square foot home was built in
1947 as part of the famed Case Study Program by Rodney White. The homes that
are part of the Case Study were designed and built by the best architects of
the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s.
The home is typical of those built in this program, in which
it is a single story home that is made of walls of glass, although Efron’s home
had been significantly updated. The interior consists of steel ceilings and
heated cement floors, which gives the home an industrial-style feel.
Key attributes of the home include an open kitchen plan with
glass front cabinets and bedrooms that are considerably spacious thanks in part
to glass walls and clean lines.
What are your
thoughts? Would you want a home with steel ceilings and cement floors?
